A score is only the start
Platform, version and play style can tell you more than a single number.

Illustrative stock photography; not a customer or product endorsement.
Before you compare scores, check what was reviewed: the platform, edition, update and amount of play behind the verdict. A technically demanding game can behave differently across devices, and an older review may describe a version that has since changed.
Look for concrete examples of the activities you will actually spend time doing. Minecraft's official introduction emphasizes building and exploration; Hollow Knight's describes exploration and challenging action. Those are different promises, so the useful question is which experience fits your interests.
A player's review adds context when it explains what they played, what worked and what did not. Keep that experience separate from a publisher's marketing description and from a publication's editorial opinion. Our player score includes published player submissions only; a linked press review never becomes a customer rating.
